Convention Orientation and O∆K 101
Thursday, May 31, 4 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

For anyone who has never attended a biennial convention, this session is a must.  We will help you get to know the other convention attendees, review the program for the weekend, and help you plan to make the most of your convention experience.  For circle delegates, we will conduct a training session that includes details about the plenary sessions with a refresher about parliamentary procedure and delegate voting.

Circle Advisors Appreciation Breakfast
Friday, June 1, 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Omicron Delta Kappa is special because of the involvement of faculty advisors and circle coordinators with the collegiate members in the life of each circle. Circle advisors will be celebrated at a special social hour in their honor after the opening dinner.

Plenary Sessions
Friday, June 1, 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, June 2, 11:30 a.m.

Each circle has the opportunity to send one official O∆K delegate to the convention at a discounted rate and represent the circle’s interest in the plenary sessions. Delegates conduct official O∆K business including national officer and board member elections, voting on proposed constitutional and bylaws amendments, hosting an initiation ceremony, and passing resolutions. The candidate’s statements and bios will be posted on the elections page as soon as the nominations are announced.

Circles for Soldiers Service Project
Friday, June 1, 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Since our founding in 1914, Omicron Delta Kappa has been committed to service. This year, we will be partnering with a local organization for a conference-wide service project.  All attendees will gather in the Atrium on the Belmont Campus at 2 p.m., Friday, June 1.  We are still working to identify the single project, but we hope to have a major impact on a local or national charity through our efforts.  We also want to have some fun while we are serving.  Wear your conference T-shirt!

Tours of the GIG at Belmont (Gallery of Iconic Guitars)
Friday, June 1, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The Gallery of Iconic Guitars (GIG) at Belmont is Music City’s premier venue designed to celebrate some of the rarest and iconic guitars and stringed instruments ever known. The GIG features an intimate experience for visitors to view these prized instruments up-close, along with historically and technically in-depth information on each. It is our hope that these magnificent instruments and their stories serve to inspire legions of music enthusiasts from all generations.

Nashville Experience
Friday, June 1, 6:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Nashville is home to incredible music, entertainment, arts, history, and food. Friday night is designed to allow attendees to explore the city and all its culture.  Buses will transport attendees from Belmont University to downtown and then make continuous loops to bring you back to campus.  The convention planning committee will provide a list of “things to experience” in Nashville.  Check these links below to plan your exploration of Music City!
