The Biennial National Convention and Leadership Conference is a time for O∆K members to learn and demonstrate leadership. One way to honor the 15 founders is to serve. This year we added a little spin on the biennial service project.
All convention participants will join in one service project to assemble care packages for individuals serving in the armed forces. We are collaborating with Alpha Omicron Pi and the Austin Peay State University ROTC to provide much-needed comfort supplies to those who serve us. We hope to package more than 500 boxes as we stand side by side in service.
To make this project successful, we need every circle to support the project, regardless of participation in the convention. Please find a list of items we need for the care packages below. O∆K will supply the boxes and note cards, and we are inviting circles to send us the rest. We are not asking each circle to send 500 items but would like to be able to announce that every circle gave something. All items must be able to fit in a 12in L x 9 in W x 4 in H box with other items.
School or Circle T-shirt – we would like every circle to contribute at least two t-shirts so that every box has a shirt from an O∆K school.

• Paperback books
• Crossword puzzles
• Sudoku books
Toiletries
(Sealed, new travel sized toiletries 4 oz or less)
• Shampoo
• Hand lotion
• Mouthwash
• Toothpaste
• Sanitary wipes
Food (All food items must be in the manufacturer’s original packaging.)
• Small drink mix packets
• Candy that will not melt
• Trail mix
• Beefy jerky
• Granola bars
• Pop top cans of single serving food (ravioli, spaghetti, soup)
• Peanut butter or cheese crackers
• Dried fruit
Clothing
• Pajama pants
• Gym shorts
• Any college-themed t-shirts (Soldiers enjoy having something “not military” to put on during down time.)
Games
• Any type of board game (Checkers, Chess, Monopoly etc.)
• Golf balls and tees
• Small frisbees, footballs, soccer balls
• Baseballs or softballs
• Decks of cards
• Used movies and games
• Water balloon slingshots and balloons
Miscellaneous Items
• Random calendars
• Air fresheners for rooms and trucks
